Mosscast x Dominica Williamson
This spring, I had the pleasure of joining Mosscast, a podcast that explores human–nature relationships through the lenses of multispecies justice, education, art, research and practice. I first met one of the hosts in Finland, after giving a presentation at Oulu University, and I’m so glad we had the chance to reconnect and share ideas more deeply.
Led by a collective of educational researchers, Mosscast brings together voices from across disciplines to consider how we might live more justly and attentively with the natural world.
Inspired by moss — with its resilience, renewal and quiet interconnectedness — the podcast creates space for slow thinking, deep listening, and more-than-human perspectives.

This contact set of images reflects one of the answers I shared during the episode, and connects with themes of place-based education — including how local ecologies and material encounters shape the way we learn.
